Today is an ordinary day. There is work and school and gymnastics and band and dishes and laundry and cooking. There will be stops at the grocery store and gas station. We will move about our day in the same fashion as any other day.
Today is also an extraordinary day. It began in the wee hours of the morning with stolen time, just the two of us. After waking, there were neck kisses and hugs and “I love you’s” and coffee made just the right way and whispers in ears about things to come. There was a big, sloppy kiss at the door as we left for work.
Those extraordinary things, they are ordinary, everyday occurrences. Valentines Day is not an extraordinary day for us, every day is.
